The heart of the XH410G is its valuable PCI-Express x16 3.0 slot, which unlocks a wide range of possibilities. This slim Mini PC, measuring just 8 cm thick, can accommodate almost any single-slot expansion card. The necessary power comes from 10th-generation Intel Core processors for the LGA1200 socket. It also features the latest storage and disk technology.
The XH410G model from the XPC slim category comes as a compact barebone system measuring 25 × 20 × 7.85 cm (depth x width x height). Its motherboard, featuring an Intel H410 chipset, supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory in SO-DIMM format and the latest Intel processors with up to 65 W TDP. Two M.2 slots, one M.2-2280 and one M.2-2230, can be equipped with, for example, an NVMe SSD and a WLAN module.
But where this new XPC truly shines is in its PCI-Express x16 3.0 slot. It's designed for graphics cards or expansion cards with 1 to 16 connections (e.g., for 10 Gbit networking, sound/video capture cards, TV tuners, PCIe SSDs, etc.) in a single-slot format.
The case features ventilation openings in the lid and also provides space for a 2.5" SSD/hard drive at the bottom, accessible through another cover. Right next to this storage device is a standard USB Type-A port that can be used for dongles, secure storage devices, or mobile phone module expansions.
The XH410G features a wide range of connections on the front and back: audio, HDMI 2.0a, VGA, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbit), USB 2.0, and Intel Gigabit Ethernet. It also includes the intelligent Remote Power On interface, which allows you to remotely power on the computer, for example, when it's in a hard-to-reach location.
"Whether for the office, complex network applications or with multiple displays, the XH410G knows no limits thanks to the PCIe slot," explains Tom Seiffert, marketing and PR director of Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH.
To achieve ample power and maximum modularity, the XH410G operates with an external 180-watt fanless power supply. Cooling is handled by an active Heatpipe system with two quiet 6cm fans. The cooling principle works in both horizontal and vertical orientations. A VESA mount is included for wall and surface mounting. A separate stand is available to further reduce its footprint.
In summary, these are the available optional accessories: WLAN kit (WLN-M), COM port adapter (H-RS232), bracket (PS01) and connection cable (CXP01) for an external power button.
