The POS-RP series is controlled by the Raspberry Pi-based Artista IoT TFT controller with the latest CM3 or CM3+ compute module. The POS-IQ-PRO PC panels are based on a powerful, latest-generation Intel x86 Pentium CPU and offer a wide input voltage range of 9 to 36 volts.
With the Raspberry Pi POS-RP (-PRO) series, users can easily program their own applications or use one of the many Raspberry Pi-compatible operating systems. Those seeking more processing power or higher resolutions will find the solution in the POS-IQ-PRO modules with an Intel® Pentium N4200 or the POS-4K-PRO modules with a UHD resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. To start the series, the units are available in 7, 10.1, 12.5, and 15.6-inch sizes.
The modules in the new POS-RP-PRO series are CE certified and housed in even more robust stainless steel enclosures. Distec also offers two 12.1-inch HighBright versions, ideal for use in very bright environments: XGA resolution with 800 cd/m² brightness, and WXGA resolution with 1,100 cd/m² brightness. Both models feature Longlife LED backlights with a lifespan of 100,000 hours (MTBF). All POS-RP-PRO modules are equipped with integrated touchscreens for easy operation, even while wearing gloves or in liquid environments. An optional mounting frame simplifies installation and allows for more flexible mounting, such as according to the VESA standard. Distec will begin shipping the POS-RP-PRO monitor systems in the fourth quarter of 2019.
