Based on the Intel H370 chipset, the XPC Barebone SH370R8 supports all current Intel Core "Coffee Lake" series processors with the LGA1151v2 socket and up to 95W TDP, including the top-of-the-line i9-9900K with eight cores and 16 threads. It features four slots for a total of 64GB of DDR4 memory.
The black aluminum chassis, measuring just 33.2 x 21.5 x 19 cm (length x width x height), houses four 3.5" drives and an NVMe M.2-2280 SSD, supporting a total storage capacity of 4 x 14 TB + 1 x 2 TB. It also features a PCIe x16 slot for powerful dual-slot graphics cards like the current NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, as well as a PCIe x4 slot for expansion cards. In addition to the M.2-2280 slot, there is an M.2-2230 slot suitable for devices such as a WLAN card.
"The R8 form factor offers maximum power and features in a compact size," explains Tom Seiffert, Marketing and PR Director at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "It's ideal for high-end gaming or professional applications. It's also suitable for storage purposes with up to four 3.5-inch drives."
For smooth playback of 4K content at 60 frames per second, there is an HDMI 2.0 connection and two DisplayPort 1.2 jacks. It also has four USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports, and audio.
The 500-watt power supply with 80 PLUS Silver certification powers the system even with the most demanding components. A special heatpipe cooling system ensures optimal cooling of the barebone.
Optional accessories include a WLAN/Bluetooth module (WLN-M), an RS-232 port (H-RS232), and a support for two 2.5" drives (PHD3).
Shuttle's recommended retail price for the SH370R8 is €384 (including 21% VAT). The model will be available from the date of this press release.
Equally powerful and also based on the H370 but with a slightly different design and different technical characteristics, the SH370R6 and SH370R6 Plus models make up two alternative variants in Cube format.
