The aim of the update is to better address the ever-increasing needs of the market. The Okken distribution board range now offers advanced and intelligent capabilities to help companies improve their competitiveness and return on investment. “Increased budgetary pressures and a greater emphasis on improving energy efficiency mean that companies are evaluating how to get the most out of their electrical infrastructure,” said Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Marketing Offer Manager at Schneider Electric.
“The new Okken Evo range is a low-voltage electrical distribution and motor control solution that will quickly become a benchmark for its functionality, flexibility, and safety. Comprehensive energy monitoring, control, and the integration of Smart Panel technology will make the electrical panel safer, more reliable, and more efficient for any Okken user,” concluded Muñoz.
The new and improved distribution panels address customers' need for enhanced safety. Therefore, the solution has been equipped with industry-leading protection features and functions such as:
- Internal arc protection
- Thermal monitoring
- High serviceability rating, with Uf maintenance under load
- Integrated interlocking systems to prevent disconnection under load
- 4b internal compartments
- IPxxD protection against access to live parts.
Furthermore, the Okken range now offers greater resistance to harsh operating conditions (up to 50°C and IP54). The new version incorporates enhanced resistance to corrosive and saline environments, while the seismic resistance of the 2.7G and 5G columns makes it ideal for industrial installations with extreme vibration, seismic activity, and applications in nuclear power plants. The new distribution board also meets the requirements of offshore platforms and marine applications, thanks to its DNV and RINA certifications, and of Oil & Gas applications, thanks to the DEP by Shell approval seal.
The new Okken distribution center solutions are equipped with a wide range of intelligent devices from Schneider Electric. In addition, Okken's iPMCC (Intelligent Electrical Distribution and Control Center) provides advanced fault prevention, enhanced protection, and an automatic start function. This solution has proven to increase productivity, improve long-term energy efficiency, and reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
The modular architecture and ease of assembly of Okken switchboards make them fully customizable and adaptable to a wide range of applications and budgets. The system also provides proven electrical, mechanical, and electromagnetic compatibility between switchboards, functional units, and integrated devices.
Okken switchboards are backed by the technical support, experience, and know-how of the Schneider Electric network. Furthermore, customers benefit from the support of licensed service providers, selected for their expertise and regularly trained and audited by Schneider Electric to ensure high-quality service.
