The Pro-face Connect system offers an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) 4.0 network topology that enables remote access to factories and machinery. This system allows access to a factory's local network or production environment to control HMI devices, PLCs, motor drives, and many other networked devices such as cameras, servers, and even computer applications. Users can control or monitor machinery, collect data, or perform system maintenance remotely from anywhere in the world via the internet using a PC, tablet, or smartphone. Cost savings are also achieved by eliminating technician travel expenses and time, and production downtime is reduced thanks to rapid remote intervention in machine operations.
Designed with efficiency in mind, the GP4100 Pro-face HMI series of color TFT-LCD touch panels can connect to multiple industrial controllers. The initial RS product launch includes 10 touch panels with screen sizes ranging from 30.7 to 76 mm. Numerous connectivity options include Ethernet, RS422C, RS485, SD card, and USB 2.0 interfaces and ports (Mini-B and Type-A).
RS also offers two Pro-face LT4000M series touchscreen PLCs. These are compact, integrated I/O units that can be installed in a 22 mm hole, simplifying panel mounting. For easier troubleshooting, both the display and control units can be removed separately.
RS also offers Pro-face range accessories, such as dirt-resistant disposable sheets for protecting touch panel and PLC screens, as well as a whole selection of cables, cable sets and programming software.
RS Components (RS), a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, has added some of Pro-face's most popular industrial automation devices to its comprehensive HMI (Human-Machine Interface) product offering, including 10 GP4100 series touch panels and two LT4000M series touch PLCs.
