largeformatscreenecwNEC's new MultiSync® P-Series models, available in 40, 46, 55, 70, and 80-inch sizes, are high-quality, multi-function professional displays designed for continuous signage in retail, transportation, and other critical 24/7 environments. The updated models feature LED backlighting on high-performance, commercial-grade LCD panels. This results in lower power consumption, a slimmer, more streamlined design, and a lighter weight than their predecessors.

One of the new features in the P-Series is a motion sensor, which can be used to both save energy and personalize the display. The sensor detects movement in front of the screen and can be used to activate power-saving modes when no one is present, or configured to modify various parameters (image input source, sound volume, or brightness) when someone approaches.
The updated range also incorporates an NFC sensor and a corresponding app for Android devices, reducing installation costs since the displays can be easily configured before installation. Installers simply need to set the configuration once in the app and then copy this configuration to all the displays to be installed, without requiring them to be connected to a network. Maintenance is also simplified, as relevant information can be easily downloaded by connecting a tablet or smartphone to the display. This also makes it easier for the user to submit the corresponding report in case of a failure. Similarly, a memory function in the OSD can be used to store useful information for users or service personnel. Furthermore, browser control is available for configuring and managing devices via a web browser instead of directly from the display.
Installation costs are further reduced thanks to additional capabilities such as the automatic Tile Matrix software (which converts a single image into one divided across multiple screens, each displaying a portion of the original image). This software offers easy setup for the video display and supports video and signal transmission for up to 100 daisy-chained units. This includes LAN daisy-chain connectivity with network switching capabilities. Furthermore, features such as super-fast input switching and zoom point enhance the user experience. Three memory banks integrated into the programmable Look-Up Table (LUT) are available to store different color calibration settings, saving time and effort in mobile or fixed installations with varying brightness or color tone requirements.
The combination of LED backlighting, along with other power management and color-control features, ensures that the new P-Series displays align with NEC's Green Vision for environmental sustainability. They are as eco-friendly as you can imagine.
All the new features also incorporate an interface expansion port and an optional NEC OPS port. This allows for the integration of single-board computers and other port options based on the NEC/Intel OPS standard without the need for external equipment. The new interface expansion for port options provides compatibility with existing legacy analog video signal systems, as well as additional digital inputs.
