Makerbot 3D Printers Group-WOf the four products, three are 3D printers based on FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology, including the very easy-to-use MakerBot Mini and the MakerBot Z18, which allows you to build large parts.

The first product is the fifth-generation MakerBot Replicator desktop 3D printer. Key specifications include a layer resolution of 100 microns (0.1 mm) and a build volume of 252 x 199 x 150 mm, 11% larger than the MakerBot Replicator 2. Other features include an integrated camera, assisted print bed leveling and diagnostics, and a smart, interchangeable extruder that minimizes downtime by allowing for quick replacement of a worn extruder in minutes. The printer also offers a glass build platform and USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity. It uses MakerBot PLA filament.

MakerBot Replicator-WThe second 3D printer in the range is the MakerBot Replicator Mini, a compact and easy-to-use desktop printer ideal for home or classroom use. Like the Replicator, the Replicator Mini also features an interchangeable smart extruder, but with a build volume of 100 x 100 x 125 mm, a layer resolution of 200 microns (0.2 mm), and Wi-Fi and USB connectivity.

The third 3D printer in the series is the MakerBot Replicator Z18, with an extra-large build volume of 305 x 305 x 457 mm. The printer features an integrated, enclosed, heated build chamber designed for printing large models with minimal curvature. Like the Replicator, the Z18 includes a smart, interchangeable extruder, an integrated camera, diagnostics and assisted build platform leveling, a 100-micron layer resolution, and Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet connectivity.

The fourth product in the series is the MakerBot desktop 3D scanner, which allows users to create 3D models quickly and easily. With MakerBot's Multiscan technology, users can scan objects from multiple angles and combine the results to create the best possible 3D model. Standard 3D file output formats allow users to modify, blend, or enhance scans with 3D modeling software. The scanner offers a scan volume of up to 203 x 203 mm with dimensional accuracy of ±2.0 mm and a resolution of 0.5 mm. With an approximate scan time of 12 minutes per 3D model, the scanner will create approximately 200,000 triangles—the number and size of which generally determine the accuracy of the object's curved surfaces.

All MakerBot 3D products for rapid prototyping are available at RS Online throughout the EMEA region.
