Distec – Germany's leading specialist in TFT flat panel displays and system solutions for industrial and multimedia applications – will present several industrial display innovations at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) international trade fair, from February 9-12, 2016 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
“With our new, optimized smoke and fire load monitors, we are meeting the demand for information displays in application areas such as stairwells near elevators and in any location where strict fire safety regulations apply,” explained Werner Schubert, Managing Director of Distec. Distec will be showcasing these new and other proven systems at Stand N129 in Hall 10.
Optimized Smoke and Fire Load Monitors:
Since there is no suitable standard for monitors, Distec provided monitors tested according to DIN EN 13501-1 for the classification of construction products. The fire test showed that the monitors comfortably exceeded the classification limits according to DIN EN 13501-1 class B-s1, d0 in all categories. They thus achieved the highest rating in the "hard to burn" class. The monitors are available in sizes from 31.5 to 54.6 inches.
New POS-Line Multi-Touch Monitors:
The proven POS-Line monitors are now available in a multi-touch version with up to 10 touch points in sizes from 10.4 to 65 inches. This enables interactive operation via gestures used on smartphones and tablets. At ISE, Distec will present the new second generation of these monitors, available in sizes from 10.4 to 24 inches and featuring a sleek aluminum frame, making the monitors significantly lighter.
High-brightness monitors with strong backlighting:
In environments with high ambient light levels, monitors with standard backlighting can be difficult to read. Therefore, Distec offers a range of products with a particularly strong backlight, ideal for bright ambient light. These monitors have a backlight brightness of up to 2,500 cd/m² and are available in 31.5-inch and 54.6-inch sizes. To protect the panels, they are equipped with brightness controls and temperature monitoring. If the temperature gets too high or if ambient light levels drop, the monitor automatically reduces the screen brightness gradually. As an option, the devices can be equipped with a detachable Intel Core i3/5 PC-Box.
