For intuitive screen operation, the TP-DD1160-A00 features a modern PCAP multi-touch display with up to 10 touch points. The touchscreen is equipped with a space-saving and compact HID-compliant USB controller in a chip-on-flex design. With modern operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Android, no driver installation is required, enabling quick and easy setup.
With an optional protective glass, the display withstands harsh external conditions, even in public or other challenging environments. Distec applies the protective glass to the display using its proprietary Vacubond® optical bonding process, leaving no air gaps. The individual components are bonded together to form a stable and robust unit. Furthermore, the OPTα-GEL® used in the process minimizes light refraction from the individual surfaces. This optimizes readability in bright environments without increasing power consumption. Vacubond® also enables a stable combination of display, touchscreen, and protective glass.
The display is controlled via an LVDS interface. Distec offers a perfectly matched TFT controller from its Prisma series for this purpose. A complete "ready-to-use" kit is also available, including components such as the converter for the LED backlight and connecting cables.
