The latest generation of screen printing systems, such as the new Yamaha YCP10, allows manufacturing engineers to quickly optimize process parameters for an ever-expanding range of components, from the smallest passive chip to larger components like connectors. At the same time, these new features help minimize the trial and error traditionally associated with customizing a new board, increasing productivity by enabling usable units to be produced from a single board.

Yamaha's Print Stability Control (PSC) option continuously monitors the paste roll size and automatically dispenses extra paste when the lower limit of the target range is approached. This eliminates the effects of infill variations on the screen. Setup time is reduced, as PSC eliminates the need for proofing plates, and production productivity is increased since manual paste refilling is no longer required.
The combined effect of the 3S printhead, base graphic layer alignment, and PSC ensures control and stability from the very first plate, boosting productivity by maximizing uptime and minimizing printing defects. These features are common to all Yamaha screen printers, including the YSP, the dual-stage YSP20 with dual-screen capability, and the new YCP10.
