The 3D_Kernel_IO 2025 software supports extensive 3D dimensioning for the consistent use of 3D models throughout the entire product lifecycle management (PLM) process. PMI calls are generated from V5/V6, NX, Creo, Solidworks, as well as JT and Step 242, both as semantic information and in the form of polylines and tessellated curves.

A key feature of the new tool is its compatibility with design history and kinematic information, along with powerful correction functions for checking and improving data quality as soon as models are imported. Compared to the previous version, a more accurate and faster tessellation function ensures high-quality display models that can be resolved as needed.

With the help of standardized queries and C++ functions, information about B-Rep geometry, assembly structure, history and parametry, as well as PMI and CAD model attributes, are available in detail in a standardized data structure.

The 3D_Kernel_IO 2025 software is programmed in C++ and runs cross-platform on Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as, in the new version, on ARM 64 processors. The architecture allows for easy and standardized integration across all supported formats. Developers benefit from an included 3D viewer with source code examples and comprehensive Doxygen documentation. With four updates per year, new CAD formats are constantly updated, and software developers receive support through a dedicated support contact.
