The MPLAB ICD 4's significant speed improvement is achieved thanks to a 32-bit microcontroller running at 300 MHz. Faster processing, combined with a larger
2 MB buffer, results in a product that is more than double the speed of its predecessor.
The MPLAB ICD 4 is round and housed in a rugged black casing with a polished aluminum cover and an LED strip to indicate debugging status. The tool offers the following features:
