Discovery is the first program launched by Onboard Ventures and has been a resounding success: in just five weeks we received 75 applications from more than 25 countries worldwide, all of excellent quality, making it extremely difficult for our judging panel to choose the 10 finalists.”.
The finalist companies are MAPIT IOT (Barcelona), which develops complete geolocation solutions; PARKTAG (Berlin), which helps cars find parking automatically; GESTOOS (Barcelona), which redefines human interaction through intelligent vision; CAPTE (Amsterdam), which works to enhance vehicle connectivity; COMODULE (Tallinn), which offers Internet of Things-based solutions for bicycle and motorcycle manufacturers; CARFIT (Portland), which uses vehicle vibrations to revolutionize predictive maintenance; MYWHEELS (Warsaw), which provides driver assistance solutions to make any vehicle a smart car; ADVANCED NANOTECHNOLOGIES (Barcelona), which offers an anti-fog system for car windows based on nanocoatings; and R3COMS (Berlin), which provides Wireless Ultra-Available and Time-Critical technology. and SITUM (Santiago de Compostela) which has developed a geolocation system for indoors with maximum precision, minimal infrastructure and immediate deployment.
In addition to the Discovery program, Onboard Ventures has launched the Open Innovation program, which is aimed at growth-stage projects that already have potential clients interested in them. This initiative offers the opportunity to create a joint venture through a commercial agreement, providing access to the Ficosa and Idneo portfolios and empowering projects to achieve global reach. This program is ongoing, with no application deadline.
