This large-scale beach cleanup is part of the LIBERA Project by SEO/Birdlife and Ecoembes, under the name "1m2 Against Litter." In the case of the cleanup in Puzol, coordinated by the Trotafons Diving Club, AIMPLAS staff also participated with their families as part of a volunteer and awareness-raising initiative. A total of 75 people joined the other divers and members of the public to collect 120 kilos of marine litter, which was counted and sorted for proper management and entered into the Marnoba mobile application developed by the Zero Waste Association and KAI Marine.

Social Impact:
The Network of Watchers maintains an agreement with Pescanova whereby the company donates food from its production to FESBAL (Spanish Federation of Food Banks). The amount of food is calculated based on the kilograms of waste removed by the divers of the Network of Watchers. Furthermore, the divers have collected the waste using nets handcrafted by a group of women from remnants of fishing nets abandoned at sea and recovered by the Marine Watchers.
