Unlike other distributors, AMS Technologies not only supplies cutting-edge products and components but also sees itself as the customer's "extended workbench." The opening of the new center aligns with this strategy, further reinforcing the company's position as a leading provider of customized thermal management solutions.
Business models known as "value-added" distribution are incorporating the design phase, systems integration, or even the execution of complete design projects, which are already widespread in the electronics industry. In the thermal management sector, however, most customers develop their own solutions to specific challenges, relying heavily on empiricism and a "trial and error" approach. AMS Technologies is pioneering a new approach with its offering of turnkey professional solutions tailored to the customer's needs. The AMS design center in Krakow will specialize in design and proof-of-concept testing, as well as supporting the transition from the resulting prototype to volume production after customer approval.
“There are a large number of highly skilled engineers in the Krakow area,” explains Jan Meise, CEO of AMS Technologies, explaining his decision to establish the design center in the Polish city. “And we particularly benefit from distinct expertise in thermal management and electronics design.”
To deliver customer-specific solutions, the Krakow design team will primarily combine cutting-edge components from AMS Technologies’ product lines to provide complete systems that meet customer specifications.
“You simply won’t find these solutions off the market,” Meise states, “but AMS Technologies brings them to life, tailored to the customer’s needs and scale, from pure design to full-scale production.”
