Kneeland joined Allegro in 1972 and has been responsible for managing the company's legal and corporate governance affairs. In July, Kneeland announced his move to a part-time advisory role on the executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO.
“During Rich’s 13 years as General Counsel and a member of the executive team, we worked together to strategically transform Allegro’s global operating structure and implement the change that brought One Equity Partners on board as our newest shareholder,” said Ravi Vig, Chairman and CEO of Allegro. “The Board and I appreciate Rich’s continued leadership and guidance, and I would like to thank him for his many contributions, particularly in improving our governance and growing our intellectual property portfolio. Thanks to his efforts, our legal function is well-positioned for future success.”.
Prior to joining Allegro, Chris Brown served as Executive Vice President, CEO, and Secretary of Finisar Corporation, a global leader in optical communications components and subsystems technology, where he played a pivotal role in numerous acquisitions and public funding transactions.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the team,” said Vig. “His experience with leading technology companies and his extensive knowledge in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, intellectual property portfolio management, corporate governance, and policy development will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business and technologies to help our customers bring their innovations to life. I look forward to working with Chris on the ongoing transformation of our company.”
Brown has a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and a JD from Boston College School of Law.
