The EV market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 21% between 2019 and 2030. DEKRA, a leading expert in testing, inspection, and certification, will utilize Keysight's Scienlab load testing technology to efficiently implement EV charging solutions that comply with a wide range of charging interfaces, power grids, and international standards.
The impact of EVs and ESVEs is significant when powered by a sustainable energy mix throughout their entire lifecycles. Governments worldwide are offering incentives and establishing regulations to encourage business and consumer investment in electric vehicles that reduce air pollution and noise. Keysight supports the automotive, energy, and communications industries in this transition with design, testing, and validation solutions.
“The partnership with Keysight allows DEKRA to better serve the automotive industry with solutions in an area where the electrical grid meets the automotive world,” commented Beat Kreuter, Vice President of the Product Safety Testing business line at DEKRA. “Keysight’s solutions enable us to improve road safety through the use of highly automated testing technology.”
In the past year, Keysight joined the Charging Interface Initiative (CharIN), a partnership of industry experts across the automotive ecosystem, to support the establishment of a global standard for electric vehicle charging. A common standard ensures interoperability between electric vehicles and charging stations. Keysight’s CDS solution uses a modular design that allows users to verify charging interoperability between any EV and an ESVE, as well as between all components of charging networks.
“Keysight supports the technologies needed for a future that uses sustainable energy sources to enable autonomous driving, connectivity for plug-in vehicles, and vehicle electrification,” said Gooi Soon Chai, President of Keysight’s Electronic Industrial Solutions Group. “As a result, the connected ecosystem can address a wide range of testing requirements related to energy, sensors, communications, navigation, the vehicle’s internal electronic network, and cybersecurity.”
