GE has made a significant effort to integrate its product range into the EPLAN library, and the latest update has been available since September 10th.
The ability to easily and quickly add GE components to your schematics with a simple drag-and-drop process helps reduce configuration work and improves the quality of your project documentation, thereby lowering engineering costs. This service is available for all GE products included in the EPLAN Platform in eight languages, including Spanish, and contains over 13,000 GE references, including datasheets, 2D and 3D blocks, and more.
Users can browse the items in the EPLAN Data Portal and select the ones they wish to use. The selected items are then downloaded to the EPLAN P8/Pro Panel and stored in the user's local database for use in multiple projects. Whenever an EPLAN project is sent to a customer, supplier, partner, etc., the GE items used are included and can be used without restriction by the receiving company.
Thus, all component information comes from a single data source, validated by GE, and electrical schematics can be read and interpreted much faster, saving time and reducing errors at the start of project planning.
The latest GE products uploaded to the portal are the Dilos and Fulos load break switches, an update to the EntelliGuard open-frame circuit breakers, and the APO industrial enclosure.
In addition to the EPLAN Electric P8 tool, designed for planning, documenting, and managing automation projects, the EPLAN platform also includes EPLAN Pro Panel, the CAE solution for engineering control cabinets and distribution systems, and EPLAN Engineering Configuration One (EEC One), the first step toward automated circuit diagram generation for electrical and fluid engineering.
