Its launch has created more than 200 local jobs, thus contributing to the development and wealth creation of the region.
The inauguration exemplifies the company's consolidation and positioning in Mexico. Thanks to the government's commitment to renewable energy, Mexico has become a strategic location within Ingeteam's internationalization process.
The company arrived in Mexico in 1998 and, in the last five years, has managed to create and strengthen a solid financial and business structure that has allowed it to position itself as the leading company in the operation and maintenance of wind farms. This leadership now allows it to provide services for approximately 500 wind turbines located in wind farms in Mexico, with a total maintained capacity of 1.2 GW in the country and 6 GW worldwide.
Furthermore, it is the leading company in the photovoltaic solar sector, managing more than 40% of the installed solar power in the country through its inverters. Mexico has just over 100 MW of installed photovoltaic capacity, of which 46 MW incorporate Ingeteam technology. In terms of operation and maintenance of solar parks, Ingeteam manages 30 MW in Mexico.
Spanning 700 square meters, the new facility features several training classrooms and a simulator for training in wind turbine work at height and vertical access. These initiatives contribute to specialization and foster a safety-based work ethic that extends to all company employees. This commitment to safety has been recognized by the highest and most demanding international standards in wind energy training: Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has validated Ingeteam Service as a training provider in basic safety for the Global Wind Organization. This certification will allow the company to deliver top-level onshore training at its new facilities in Juchitán de Zaragoza.
