Over the past decade, LEM Bulgaria has built a team of 440 employees, many of whom will remain at LEM's existing production facility. This new center will offer more space to enhance operations. In addition to existing lines for automation and power distribution products, new equipment for manufacturing automotive products will be added.
Sustainability was a key factor in choosing the location for the new office, named “Business Garden Office X.” This facility had already won the “Building of the Year” award for its environmental credentials, as well as its design and functionality, its contribution to society and the urban environment, architecture, and construction quality.

LEM Bulgaria has been a key part of LEM's success over the past 10 years, significantly increasing global production capacity to one million units per month. A substantial percentage of LEM's worldwide sales can be attributed to the 30 different product families manufactured in Bulgaria, which have enabled customers, particularly in Europe, to accelerate their transition to a sustainable future. The Sofia facility is LEM's second largest after China; the others are located in Switzerland and Malaysia, the latter currently under construction.
Bastien Musy, Vice President of LEM Europe/Americas, stated: “LEM began operations in Bulgaria in 2013 to provide production and support services to our growing customer base in Europe. But we have done much more than that: we have significantly enhanced our R&D capabilities in Sofia to develop many advanced products that meet demanding market requirements. We have also made significant investments in applying our expertise in electrical measurement technology to the rapidly growing automotive sector.”

Verka Alexieva, Managing Director of LEM Bulgaria, adds: “LEM has also been a valuable incubator of young talent and has strongly supported the dual education model in Bulgaria, investing in the training and development of students from technical schools and universities. Many of these students have launched successful careers as part of the team in Sofia, and we are delighted that they can now continue to develop their skills in the company’s new, sustainable facilities.”
