Mouser will participate in the Championship Innovation Fair, where Mouser-sponsored BattleBots competitors (Team HUGE) will make a special appearance.

“Engineering is at the heart of who we are at Mouser. We are proud to continue sponsoring a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) training program that supports the brightest young minds and future engineers,” said Kevin Hess, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Mouser Electronics. “The FIRST robotics competition provides students with a platform for innovation, the opportunity to solve real-world engineering challenges, and the chance to develop their character and self-esteem.”.

Since 2014, Mouser has been a major sponsor of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a leading non-profit youth-focused organization that promotes STEM education through hands-on robotics programs. Mouser is proud to support the FIRST Texas championships and FIRST robotics teams in its local community, awarding grants to high school teams throughout Tarrant County, Texas.

The FIRST robotics competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigor of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines. Under strict rules and with limited time and resources, student teams must design industrial-sized robots to participate in complex field games in partnership with other teams, while simultaneously raising funds to achieve their goals, shaping their team's image, and promoting respect and appreciation for STEM disciplines in the local community.
