Through the agreement, Mouser now stocks three krtkl products, including its popular embedded platform, snickerdoodle.
The krtkl snickerdoodle black system-on-a-module (SoM) is a prototype-to-production platform for creating high-integrity Internet of Things (IoT) products. Built on a Xilinx® Zynq™-7020 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and a Texas Instruments WiLink™ 8 wireless module, Snickerdoodle is designed to create affordable, scalable, high-performance, energy-efficient computing and artificial intelligence (AI) applications at the network edge.
The 2”×3.5” (50.8 mm × 88.9 mm) board features a Zynq SoC with two 868 MHz Arm® Cortex®-A9 cores and a Xilinx Artix®-7 1.3 FPGA, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Low Energy connectivity, 1 GB of LPDDR2 RAM, 125 reconfigurable FPGA I/O pins, and 55 additional I/O pins. Furthermore, the snickerdoodle supports Ubuntu Linux, Python, PYNQ, C/C++, and bare metal. Each black snickerdoodle includes an adhesive-backed copper heatsink.
breakyBreaky is a snickerdoodle starter board that allows engineers to access the full snickerdoodle pinout via 0.1” (2.54 mm) headers. For applications and projects with less stringent size constraints, the 3.94” × 4.92” (100 mm × 125 mm) BreakyBreaky features 270 pins, a 14-pin Xilinx JTAG header, a 0.1” (2.54 mm) through-hole prototyping area, a DC power connector, and four adhesive-backed locking PCB stands.
piSmasher is a single-seat snickerdoodle motherboard for audio/video processing, networking, edge AI, and general computing applications. It features dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces connected to an FPGA with PHY support for time-sensitive networking (TSN), as well as simultaneous HDMI video input and output up to WUXGA (1920 × 1200p) at 60 Hz and 8 channels, 32-bit/192 kHz, and HDMI audio input and output.
In addition, piSmasher features four high-speed USB 2.0 Type-A host ports and a dedicated 96kHz stereo audio codec with color-coded 3.5mm jacks for line-in, line-out, and headphones (stereo audio, mono microphone), and provides access to 25 reconfigurable snickerdoodle FPGA I/O pins. The 3.5” × 5.66” (88.9mm × 143.8mm) board also includes an I²C EEPROM ID and configuration pin, a 14-pin Xilinx JTAG header, a DC power connector, and four adhesive-backed locking PCB stands.
