Mouser is partnering with the DRAGON/PENSKE AUTOSPORT team for the 2021-22 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship racing season, in collaboration with TTI, Inc. and manufacturers Molex and KYOCERA AVX. This marks the eighth consecutive year that Mouser and Molex have sponsored the Formula E race. Driver Sérgio Sette Câmara returns to the team to drive the No. 7 Penske EV-5, while Formula 1 reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi joins the team to take the wheel of the No. 6 car. The new season features 16 races, with stops in Jakarta, Vancouver, and Seoul, as well as increased car power and new qualifying formats.

“Mouser is thrilled to team up with Molex, TTI, and KYOCERA AVX to partner with DRAGON/PENSKE AUTOSPORT for the eighth consecutive year,” said Todd McAtee, Vice President, Business Development for the Americas at Mouser Electronics. “Formula E’s focus on developing and incorporating the latest electric vehicle technology aligns perfectly with Mouser, our customers, and our fans and supporters. We wish Sette Câmara, Giovinazzi, and the entire team the best of luck this season.”

The Formula E series features electric-powered cars and represents a vision for the future of the motorsport industry, serving as a framework for research and development in zero-emission powertrains. The Gen2 cars represent a significant leap forward in electric vehicle racing technology, boasting a maximum power output of 250 kW and speeds of up to 280 km/h. Racing is based on speed and endurance, and for Mouser, racing sponsorships are an innovative way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the latest technologies from its manufacturing partners.

Fans can vote for Sette Câmara and Giovinazzi on FANBOOST, giving them an active role in influencing the race outcome. FANBOOST allows fans to vote for their favorite driver and award them an extra power boost during the race. The five drivers with the most FANBOOST votes are rewarded with a significant energy boost, which they can use within a 5-second window during the second half of the race. FANBOOST voting for the Diriyah Formula E Grand Prix opened on January 25 and will be available until 15 minutes before the race begins.
