One of the center's new collaborating entities is BIOLAN, a company with which Tekniker works on the design of integrated sensor devices by combining different measurement principles and embedded electronics, while also supporting the entire product development process.
This collaboration will feature the OSASUNBERRI project, one of the priority initiatives proposed by the Basque Government to the Spanish Government for the Euskadi Next 2021 funds. The collaborative project, which includes 25 other entities, seeks diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for managing Covid-19 and future pandemics. Its four lines of work include the development of therapies for vitamin D deficiency, immunomodulatory therapy, and cell therapy for Covid-19 patients.
Another entity with which Tekniker has signed a new collaboration agreement is Giroa, a company with which it works on the development of advanced systems for the efficient management of unique infrastructures, minimizing the energy consumption of pumping systems, and optimizing generation and storage through the combination of renewable energies.
In addition, the technology center is also partnering with the NBI Group to contribute its capabilities in surface engineering in areas such as tribology, physical and chemical functional coatings or surface texturing; and in production engineering, metrology and the automation of production processes, to optimize and enhance the design, manufacturing and marketing processes of precision bearings and other industrial products.
Furthermore, alongside AVS, a leading company in space applications, particle physics, and astronomy, Tekniker collaborates on the development of state-of-the-art equipment for scientific facilities, contributing its expertise in advanced control, surface engineering, dimensional metrology, and mechatronics.
Finally, MAIER, a manufacturer of aesthetic and functional components for the automotive industry, has renewed its agreement as a Tekniker partner to continue the work carried out in recent years in the areas of electronic product engineering, surface finishing, and industrial automation.
All these collaboration agreements are part of a strategy that allows for better coordination of R&D activities, consolidating a stable, long-term relationship that strengthens the work teams of both parties and optimizes results. Furthermore, this model includes a range of benefits related to communication and branding, preferential access to infrastructure, and strategic support in relation to third parties.
