Together with IDT, Renesas will now offer an even broader range of cutting-edge technology and embedded solutions by combining IDT’s RF, high-performance timing, memory interface, real-time interconnect, optical interconnect, wireless power, and smart sensors with Renesas microcontrollers, SoCs, and power management integrated circuits. This combined portfolio enables the creation of new product classes and solutions in rapidly growing data economy applications across various verticals, including industrial, infrastructure, and automotive, for customers and partners worldwide.
To immediately demonstrate how the complementary product portfolios of Renesas and IDT work together to deliver comprehensive solutions, Renesas and IDT developed 15 “Winning Combinations”—compelling Renesas-plus-IDT product combinations that capture and highlight the technological advantages Renesas and IDT offer as a combined company. Examples of winning combinations include the IDT automotive timing system plus the Renesas R-Car processor for automotive infotainment applications, an IDT gas sensor and the Renesas MCU for air quality control in IoT building automation, and other winning combinations for base stations, fixed lines, and server applications.
As a result of the transaction's completion, IDT has become a subsidiary of Renesas. Effective today, Dr. Sailesh Chittipeddi has joined the Renesas executive team as Executive Vice President and will lead IDT as President and CEO. Renesas is committed to a smooth and rapid integration of the two companies and the continued technical support and future product development for IDT's analog mixed-signal products.
