The agreement allows customers worldwide to purchase a wide selection of Intel products directly from RS for numerous applications, including Internet of Things (IoT) projects.
Thus, customers will find products at RS Online such as the Intel® Edison platform and the Intel® Compute Stick for Ubuntu and Windows 10. They will also find single-board computers with Intel® Atom™ processors and a range of SSD solid-state drives with densities from 64 GB to 1.6 TB.
The Intel Edison platform includes the ultra-small form factor (SoC) module, a breakout board for rapid prototyping, and an Arduino board. The "out-of-the-box" SoC module features a 22nm chip with a dual-core, dual-processor 500MHz Intel Atom CPU and a 32-bit, 100MHz Intel® Quark™ microcontroller. The Edison platform integrates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Smart connectivity to facilitate the development of IoT applications.
The Intel Compute Stick can transform any HDMI monitor or television into a fully functional computer running Windows 10 or Ubuntu. The device delivers the same high-quality graphics and wireless connectivity as a conventional computer, along with considerable speed and storage, but at a much lower cost and in a very small form factor, measuring just 113 x 387 x 12 mm.
