This donation includes high-protection equipment commonly used in the electronics, food, and pharmaceutical industries, specifically safety glasses and FFP3 masks, as well as boxes of disposable shoe covers.
RS Components Iberia is also collaborating with the citizen solidarity movement Covidmakers, providing the company's teams with technical expertise and the necessary materials for manufacturing protective face shields.
Furthermore, as key members of the professional supply chain for electronic and industrial products, the RS Components team is working around the clock to fulfill urgent requests for materials needed for most projects related to the alternative manufacturing of respirators and mechanical ventilators for hospitals.
“The fight against the pandemic is everyone's responsibility—leaders, companies, and citizens. RS Components Iberia is joining this fight not only with its unwavering commitment to those customers who are currently working but also with the donation of essential materials for healthcare professionals,” says Jordi Tarrida, Managing Director of RS Components Iberia.
“In difficult times like these, we as a company have an obligation to support our customers so they can remain operational despite all the challenges, helping them with what we do best: providing them with the materials they need to keep working,” Tarrida adds. “Along these lines, at the beginning of the crisis we made a significant investment, increasing the value of our product stock to over €420 million. This allows us immediate access to a permanent stock of more than 600,000 items available for rapid delivery.”
