The agreement strengthens RS's position as a trusted supplier of the respected and highly reliable ALPS product range, which includes detector switches, pushbuttons, joystick switches, potentiometers, and rotary encoders.
At the time of the signing of this agreement in Japan at the end of January, Kevin McCormack, Global Head of Product & Supplier Management for IP&E Asia-Pacific at RS, stated: “This new agreement with ALPS strengthens our ability to support customer projects from the earliest stages to full production, both onshore and offshore, anywhere in the world. We expect to accelerate the growth of our market share for switches, passive components, and sensors.”.
For his part, Mr. Takashi Kimoto, Managing Director of ALPS Electric Co., added: “We are delighted to sign a new agreement with RS and to strengthen our relationship for greater success in the future. RS has a far-reaching global infrastructure and strong customer service capabilities, creating an ideal platform to increase the introduction of ALPS products into the world’s leading high-tech devices.”.
RS has recently added 138 switches from the manufacturer ALPS and will further expand the range with more than 200 products before the end of June 2016.
