The market-leading instruments already available through RS include the FLIR E4/E5/E6/E8 and FLIR E40/E50/E60 thermal imaging cameras, as well as the recently launched FLIR TG165 infrared visual thermometer and the FLIR C2, the world's first fully equipped pocket-sized thermal imaging camera. A total of 35 new products have been added to RS's test and measurement range, including accessories such as carrying cases, tripod adapters, batteries, chargers, and power supplies.
Valerie Ramon, Global Head of Electrical, Test & Measurement at RS Components, explains: “The FLIR Systems range is a great addition to our product range and offers advanced features at affordable prices, so even small projects can rely on thermal imaging technology to maximize their testing, maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities.”.
Thomas J. Scanlon, Worldwide Test Equipment Sales at FLIR Systems, adds: “RS has a huge and loyal customer base, many of whom are electrical and building maintenance engineers—precisely the market we want to reach with our portable thermographic equipment. We expect that this new agreement will allow us to increase sales and market share in our most strategic geographic areas.”.
The E4, E5, E6, and E8 thermal imaging cameras in the RS range are affordable and functional tools featuring an autofocus lens, simple one-button operation, and various resolution options, from 4800 to 76,800 pixels. These portable cameras support a variety of imaging modes, including thermal, visual, and MSX® images, which can be simultaneously stored for more detailed analysis using FLIR Tools software. The E6 and E8 models also offer picture-in-picture mode for additional documentation. The central on-screen photometer allows for quick and precise temperature measurement at specific points, while hot and cold spot detection functions help identify extreme temperatures.
The FLIR TG165, also joining the RS range, is a revolutionary infrared visual thermometer. Thanks to thermography, it detects temperature issues and provides faster, more comprehensive analysis than a conventional infrared thermometer. Users can perform more detailed and precise analyses, recording before-and-after images to offer visual proof of troubleshooting.
The FLIR E40, E50, and E60 are high-performance thermal imaging cameras with a touchscreen, up to three user-selectable moving measurement points, and MSX® image enhancement technology. These cameras can be equipped with interchangeable wide-angle or telephoto lenses, providing greater flexibility to optimize field of view, image clarity, and accuracy for a variety of applications. They also feature a Wi-Fi app that allows users to send thermal images to a smartphone or tablet.
RS will also be distributing a selection of FLIR Systems test and measurement equipment, including the DM93 digital multimeter and the CM83, CM85, and CM78 handheld clamp meters, with power analysis and VFD diagnostics. The CM78 features a built-in infrared thermometer, making it ideal for use with high-amperage temperature systems.
