The integration is designed to extend the cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency benefits of the network to Samsung ARTIK developers designing IoT products and services worldwide. Investment terms have not been disclosed.
Samsung ARTIK is an open platform that is designed to enable faster and easier development of new enterprise, industrial and consumer applications for the IoT.
The platform includes best-in-class, production-ready integrated modules, advanced software, a development board, drivers, tools, security features, and cloud connectivity designed to accelerate the development of a new generation of smart IoT devices, solutions, and services. Adding SIGFOX technology to the internet connectivity options on the Samsung ARTIK platform provides an extremely cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative suitable for the small message communication required by the vast majority of IoT-connected devices. This integration will allow developers to quickly activate the network through a simple cloud connectivity subscription.

Devices based on the Samsung ARTIK™ platform can now be easily converted to SIGFOX Ready™ and can therefore connect anywhere in the world where the SIGFOX network is available.
