With this platform, the electricity retailer will be able to analyze data from its 700,000 customers to implement commercial strategies and offer new personalized deals, thanks to the application of the new regulatory framework for hourly electricity consumption. Atos participated in this project as a technology partner.

Thus, it can be stated that the purpose of the agreement is to have a modern platform that allows for maximizing the use of smart meters by enabling Viesgo to create products tailored to each customer's specific needs. Additionally, using customers' hourly consumption data, billing will be based on calendar months of consumption, as is currently done in the telecommunications sector.

Among many other applications, the Energy IP software will allow, once the Viesgo Measurement System is replaced, the extension of capabilities for the management of low voltage curves, the reduction of recurring costs by increasing efficiency in the management of tasks, infrastructure and evolutions, and the implementation of a technology that will serve as a basis for developing future business needs of Viesgo, such as Smart Home, Distributed Generation, Energy Efficiency and Prepayments.

Thus, the platform will allow the collection of information from various sources, capture of switching files for inventory, improvement of information quality through Validation, Editing and Estimation of consumption data, Management of claims and objections, sending of tickets and load curve to the biller, transfer of TOU calculations – Dynamic Prices, and obtaining reports of energy balance, inventory, incidents and measurement control.

This is therefore the first standard solution of its kind to be marketed in Spain for the electricity sector through the Siemens Energy Management division, since until now this type of solution had only been implemented via custom developments, which will facilitate a quick adaptation to possible modifications in the regulation or of any other kind, in a simple and efficient way.
