This move is part of SUNLIGHT's strategy to establish a strong presence in major markets. In the Italian market, SUNLIGHT is expanding its footprint with a total investment plan of €5 million for the years 2018-2022. The outlook for the next five years is to increase revenue to a nine-figure range.
This strategic move contributes to the company's upward trajectory, which has seen a
25% increase in capacity (2020), entry into the US market, and expansion of its R&D division for lithium technologies.
These agreements come at a time when Europe is preparing for a green energy transition, and all sectors are being urged to electrify to meet the European ambition for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. SUNLIGHT is already playing an active role in this transition with its range of lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries for the industrial, renewable energy, e-transport, and marine sectors.
