Inaugurated in 2000, the chamber has undergone a comprehensive technical upgrade, including a new, state-of-the-art radio frequency absorption coating. This technological advancement allows for EMC testing up to 6 GHz in a shielded, interference-free environment, ensuring optimal conditions for validating electronic products before they reach the market.
The renovated infrastructure provides a controlled space where real-world scenarios are simulated, enabling the evaluation of equipment's electromagnetic behavior under actual usage conditions. This environment is essential for ensuring regulatory compliance, improving device reliability, and contributing to product sustainability and safety in the market.

The renovation is part of a comprehensive range of EMC services offered by TECNALIA at its laboratory, which also includes several Faraday rooms for testing according to a wide range of international standards. Electronic devices for various sectors are tested in this facility, with a particular focus on the energy sector, where new testing capabilities have been added, such as the fast damped oscillatory wave test, a key requirement for equipment used in this field.

The project has benefited from the support of key experts and collaborators in the sector. Wavecontrol and GR EMC SOLUTIONS contributed their expertise in EMC installations and the provision of testing solutions, while ETS-Lindgren, manufacturer of TECNALIA's semi-anechoic chamber, and Seibersdorf Laboratories, specialists in technical validations of complex environments, participated in the design, implementation, and official validation of the solution. Their collaboration ensured the quality, accuracy, and compliance with the most demanding standards.
