The awards will be presented at a special ceremony to be held on September 25 at the Royal Tapestry Factory in Madrid, which will be attended by the principal investigator of the Efficientheating project, Arsenio Navarro, along with an institutional representation from AIMPLAS.

Efficientheating is a project developed in 2022 with financial support from the Valencian Innovation Agency (Agència Valenciana de la Innovació) to develop high-energy-efficiency, recyclable, modular radiant floor heating systems. The system operates on radiant floors configured with a thermoplastic sheet. It has an energy consumption of 101 W/h in the first hour and 54 W/h from the second hour onward, once the system has stabilized, achieving a consumption reduction of between 50% and 90% compared to other heating systems. It has also been verified that the carbon footprint is approximately 80% lower because the modules are 100% recyclable.

The jury that evaluated AIMPLAS's application, along with more than 70 others submitted, met on July 10th to deliberate and was composed of prominent figures from the scientific, academic, and business sectors. Along with AIMPLAS, four other entities received awards in as many categories: Capital Energy in the Green Generation category; Madrid's Municipal Transport Company in the Smart Mobility category; Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in the Sustainable Ecosystem category; and the SME Cubierta Solar in the Innovation in Sustainability category.
