The presentation event was also attended by representatives of the companies that made the project possible: Mirenchu Arraztoa, manager of ES Aralar, Jon Asín, head of electric vehicles at Ingeteam, and Carlos Bergera, director of Green Mobility at Iberdrola.
This agreement, which will initially last for two years, essentially consists of the Aralar service station providing the space and the necessary electrical installation, Ingeteam providing the charging point of its manufacture and the maintenance service during the validity period, and Iberdrola, as the charging manager, managing the charging service within its public charging service to its customers in Pamplona.
The public charging service has been provided by Iberdrola in Pamplona according to the agreement signed with the City Council since March 2014.
Iberdrola currently has 22 customers using this service, who until now could charge their electric vehicles at any of the four public charging points located in Pamplona's city center. The service costs €20 for a setup fee and €4 per month, allowing unlimited charging for each electric vehicle. For the same price, existing customers and new customers who sign up from now on can also use the new fast-charging station.
Currently, the new charging point has a CHAdeMO standard connector and can only be used by vehicles from brands that support this system, such as Nissan, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Citroën, Kia, and Toyota. Over the next few months, Ingeteam will update the charging point and add support for all electric vehicle brands.

In recent years, electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid vehicles have been launched on the market by almost all car manufacturers, and in the coming years a significant increase in the demand and supply of these new vehicles is expected, especially beneficial and appropriate for urban use due to their great environmental benefits.
Although it is not the main factor, one of the reasons that contributes to the development of electric mobility is the availability of publicly accessible charging infrastructure.
Fast charging is especially interesting for users who move around the urban environment, such as taxis and delivery fleets, among others, and its location within the city center makes them more accessible and convenient since in 15 or 20 minutes, the battery can be almost fully recharged to continue driving around the city.
The presentation event, which included a charging demonstration by the only electric taxi operating in Pamplona and already a customer of the service, was attended by representatives of car dealerships in Pamplona, customers of the public charging service, companies and various institutions.
