Introduced in April 2023, the YRM20DL accepts plates up to 330 mm wide on both lanes simultaneously. Fully independent drives and support pins on each lane ensure efficient plate clamping, placement, release, and removal. Overdrive mode allows each placement head to operate on one or both lanes, and each lane enables seamless feed carriage changes. Users can leverage this flexibility to assign identical products to both lanes, or different products with unequal workloads and cycle times, to optimize throughput and simplify production planning.
"The YRM20DL allows users to flex their SMT production capacity at will and without compromise, as changing workloads demand higher volumes or a greater mix," said Yasushi Miyake, Branch Manager, upon receiving the trophy at the traditional awards ceremony during the Productronica trade fair in Munich. "We are delighted to celebrate this state-of-the-art machine now being recognized as an SMD assembly machine.".

The YRM20DL efficiently connects with Yamaha's latest YRP10DL dual-lane screen printing machine and the AOI 3D YRi-V DL for seamless end-to-end dual-lane productivity, delivering maximum performance across a wide range of manufacturing scenarios.
With a placement speed of 120,000 cph and an accuracy of +/-15µm, the YRM20DL incorporates exceptional features from the YRM20 single-lane SMD mounting machine. These include a stopper-free transport system that meets automotive industry requirements for gentle board handling, low-impact mounting nozzles, Yamaha's Multiple Accuray Compensation System (MACS), and options such as coplanarity checking and all-image plotting.
