Once again, in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), AIMPLAS has organized the ninth edition of its Master's Degree in Polymeric Materials and Composites (MTMPC) for the upcoming academic year. This year's program will be enhanced with new content related to environmental sustainability. This postgraduate degree, which boasts a high employability rate throughout its duration, aims to provide comprehensive training in polymeric and composite materials and their technologies.

The master's program consists of 490 hours of in-person and online instruction, 875 hours of internships in companies, and a final master's project (equivalent to 90 ECTS credits), running from October 19, 2022, to June 14, 2023. It is designed for individuals with a university degree in science and engineering fields, as well as working professionals who meet the legal requirements for admission to a university postgraduate program. In this edition, the AIMPLAS Chair at the UPV will award scholarships to a total of six master's students, covering half of their tuition fees. Furthermore, graduates of this master's program are added to the AIMPLAS Job Bank and receive support in finding employment in companies within the sector.

University Expert in Bioplastics and Biocomposites:
In collaboration with the University of Valencia, AIMPLAS has launched the second edition of its University Expert in Bioplastics and Biocomposites program. The course, which begins on October 6th, lasts 150 hours and runs until March 2nd, 2023. Its methodology includes in-person classes, laboratory and pilot plant practicals, as well as company visits and optional internships. Learning is based on real-world problems through the resolution of exercises, problems, and theoretical and practical assignments, providing a comprehensive overview of bioplastics and biocomposites.
The course content will offer a comprehensive overview of these materials within the framework of the circular economy, the different families of biopolymers, polymerization processes, various types of additives, fillers, and reinforcements, as well as current research trends in bioplastics. Furthermore, thanks to 900 hours of optional extracurricular internships, students will be able to find employment in companies within the plastics sector and those whose activity involves the recycling, recovery, or reuse of polymeric materials, where they can apply the knowledge they have acquired.
Online pre-registration for both programs is now available through the AIMPLAS Plastics Academy training portal, where the technology center offers the most comprehensive range of training in plastics technologies, including postgraduate programs, customized courses for companies, technical training in both in-person and streaming formats, vocational training, webinars, and workshops.
