Instead of using traditional, expensive ceramic-based encapsulation for professional outdoor lighting applications, the Osram OSCONIQ® P series of ultra-high-power LEDs uses an epoxy encapsulation that offers remarkable reliability, long-term performance, and excellent luminous efficacy per euro. To achieve this high level of performance, Osram has leveraged its expertise in the automotive sector and combined its competitive junction frame technology with the capabilities of the high-power chip to offer numerous lighting applications for the mass market, as well as for the agricultural, industrial, and architectural sectors.

The OSCONIQ® P series includes the P2226, P3737, and P7070 families. The first of these—the P2226—is a series of white and colored LEDs that offers a full range of medium-power colors, along with a high level of corrosion resistance. This family also combines a compact package with a size of only 2.6 x 2.2 mm, as well as high performance and wide operating current and temperature ranges, providing great design flexibility in professional lighting markets such as horticultural lighting.

The P3737 family allows for very compact lighting designs, offers a long lifespan, and delivers high luminous flux in a minimal size. This family includes 2W and 3W versions and is ideal for professional outdoor lighting applications such as streets and tunnels.

Designed specifically for industrial and outdoor lighting, the ultra-powerful white P7070 family delivers 8W of electrical output. It allows for significant system cost reductions for lighting designers, offering excellent thermal performance and best-in-class reliability. This family also features a wide selection of lenses for secondary optical applications.
