Ideal for LED panel displays requiring brightness matching across multiple LEDs, the TC62D776 maintains constant currents between 1.5 mA and 90 mA. High-precision control is ensured by channel-to-channel and IC-to-IC output tolerances of ±1.5%. The new driver operates on a supply voltage between 3.0 V and 5.5 V and is specified for nominal output voltages up to 17 V. It can be adjusted in 128 steps, with a serial data transfer rate of up to 25 MHz, guaranteeing very high-speed LED control.

The device requires minimal external components. Current is controlled by a single external resistor, while integrated functionality includes thermal shutdown, automatic fault detection (open and short outputs), and power-on reset (PoR). An output delay capability allows for a slight delay between channels. This prevents overcurrent conditions when all LEDs illuminate simultaneously.

The TC62D776's CMOS-compatible I/O interface allows it to accommodate input signal levels of 3.3V and 5.0V. The IC is pin-compatible with other members of Toshiba's current LED driver family and is available in 24-pin SSOP, HTSSOP24, and QSOP configurations.
Designed for maximum efficiency, the new driver features a standby current draw of only 1µA.
