The LUMAWISE DALI-2 Z50 LED holder series integrates the driver into the same form factor as TE's popular Zhaga-inspired LUMAWISE 50 mm diameter LED holder range for COB LEDs. Until recently, most LED drivers were housed in separate boxes, sometimes even larger than the fixture itself, mounted to the side of the luminaire and far from the COB light source. This configuration required wiring between the light source and the driver, which added significant design and manufacturing complexity. TE's new LUMAWISE LED holders simplify and increase the flexibility of lighting design, resulting in cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing luminaires.

"These new LED lamp holders work with a wide range of pre-configured 48V constant voltage power supplies, meaning it is now possible to power multiple devices with a single power supply," notes Jeroen Iedema, product manager at TE Connectivity.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) lamps are intelligent, dimmable, and can be controlled, monitored, and maintained using a two-wire, globally open standard communication protocol, IEC 62386. A wide variety of DALI-compatible lamps from various manufacturers are available on the international market.

Previously, TE launched its Z50 LUMAWISE series of on/off and 0-10V dimmable LED brackets. All configurations are available with constant current outputs of 350mA, 500mA, 700mA, or 1050mA and a typical forward voltage of 36V DC.
