The Lumileds Luxeon LED 5258 features a unique 4.8 mm optical light-emitting surface (LES) that provides high flux and high efficacy, improving light quality and avoiding the shower effect common with distributed, multi-die solutions. The devices are offered in two voltage versions, 24V or 96V, and are available in warm white color temperature ranges of 2700K and 3000K. The Luxeon 5258 has a color rendering index (CRI) of 80, and the devices offer hot-color orientation to ensure the LEDs are within the ANSI application conditions of 85°C. All Luxeon 5258 fixtures are also wrapped with a 3- or 5-step MacAdam ellipse to ensure color uniformity and are compatible with low-cost, high-efficiency drivers.
Lumileds Luxeon 5258 offer some of the best efficacy and luminous flux ratings on the market today, providing superior reliability and a better fall-off curve than other competing solutions. Luxeon 5258 24V solutions deliver a luminous flux of 500 lumens (typical) at an efficacy of up to 125 lm/W, while 96V solutions offer 458 lumens (typical) at an efficacy of up to 118 lm/W. The multi-die emitter in Luxeon 5258 fixtures allows for cost-effective designs for PAR 16, PAR 20, MR16, and GU10 lamps.
