Solderless assembly means plug-and-play: manufacturers simply attach the module to its heatsink with two screws and push in the electrical connections. The integrated thermal interface material (TIM) eliminates adhesives and greases, reducing manufacturing time and creating a low thermal resistance path from the module to the heatsink. Sharp's efficient thermal management process results in a module operating life of 50,000 hours.
INTERMO modules come in two sizes: a standard 50 mm diameter x 6 mm height and a 44 mm diameter x 3.6 mm height for space-constrained applications. They are available with mounting systems for Carclo, Ledil, Ledlink, and Khatod reflectors. The standard modules have a Zhaga Book 3 form factor, making it easy to upgrade existing luminaires that comply with this specification. The compact CoB emitting modules are particularly effective for collimating intensive, high-flux beams in spotlights and recessed lights.
INTERMO modules are available with color temperatures of 3000K or 4000K, CRI 80 or 90 to ensure natural color rendering, and luminous flux categories of 3000lm, 4000lm, or 5000lm. Consistency between lighting modules is guaranteed within 3 MacAdam ellipses.
