Every day they are exposed to tropical rain, high humidity, salt water, and increased concentrations of radiofrequency interference. These are precisely the factors that Fronius took into account in the development of the VR 5000 Case power supply unit (for D 200 wire spool) for the TransSteel series.
Key features of the VR 5000 Case include temperature and impact resistance, robustness, and portability. The new internal connection connectors offer the highest levels of protection against dirt and damage. The side covers, which fold down on both sides, provide easy access to the spool, motor plate, and junction box for the interconnecting hose pack, and are just one part of this sophisticated solution.
The unit's low weight and compact dimensions facilitate work in confined spaces. The wire feed unit fits easily through openings up to 350 mm in diameter, a significant advantage in the shipbuilding industry. The addition of sliding rails on the sides makes the unit easy to use in either a vertical or horizontal position.
The Case VR 5000 thread feed unit will be available from February 2013.
