With a power factor correction (PFC) system, these series have a typical efficiency of 93% and a no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W. The 80 Plus Silver certification applies to power supplies in computing and data center applications.
The GCS150 is available with single +12, +15, +24, +28, or +48 VDC outputs and an additional 12V output for the fan. Using convection cooling (without forced air), it can deliver up to 110W. With just 7 CFM of fan, or by specifying a model with built-in fan, the total power output reaches up to 150W. Multiple mechanical form factors are available, allowing engineers to design with various options for their final application. A standard size of 3 x 5” (127 x 76.2 mm) is available for open-frame power supplies, or a shroud for convection cooling options.
Also available with the fan on the cover or at the bottom of the cover.
The temperature range is -40 to +70ºC, suitable for many applications, and there is no power reduction up to +50ºC.
These sources are Class I and Class II, giving the engineer the option of using grounding or not. These series comply with Class B of EN55011 and EN55022 standards for conducted and radiated emissions without the need for external filtering components.
Furthermore, the GCS150 series complies with the IT equipment safety standards UL/EN/IEC 60950-1 and the 3rd edition of the medical standard EN 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, and CSA22.22 No. 60601-1. These series provide 2 x MOPP protection, and a risk management file is available upon request. A version with remote On/Off control is available as an option by adding –R to the end of the part number.
