Certified to EN62477-1 Overvoltage Category (OVC) III, the RBC200F power supply simplifies the design process for system architects by reducing the need for an additional isolation transformer when connected to a distribution panel, thus lowering costs. Reducing energy consumption, the RBC200F is fully digitally controlled at both the input and output stages.
The RBC200F accepts input voltages from 84 to 264VAC and delivers an output power of 207W. Designed for convection cooling, it can operate from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius at altitudes up to 3,000 meters, or 9,000 meters in storage. The RBC200F can be installed in any orientation, and under standard mounting (horizontal orientation), drift begins at 50°C with convection cooling.
Designed to reduce complexity, the RBC200F features three independent outputs. The main output (Slot 1) can deliver either 24V adjustable from 22.8 to 26.4V, or 48V adjustable from 45.6 to 52.8V with 144W of output power. The second output (Slot 2) can accommodate modules configured for 3.3V/5A; 5V/5A; 12V/2.5A; 5V/1.9A; 24V/1.3A; 48V/0.65A; +/- 12V/0.7A; and +/- 15V/0.7A with a power output of 16.5 to 30W depending on the output voltage. The third output (Slot 3) can accommodate any of the individual output voltage modules at the same power level. For higher voltages, the outputs can be connected in series. All output voltages are adjustable via a built-in potentiometer.
To optimize efficiency, the main output of the DC/DC converter is based on an LLC resonant topology, while the second and third outputs use the Quasi-Resonant-Flyback topology.
The RBC200F features 3,000VAC input-to-output isolation and 2,000VAC input-to-ground isolation. The isolation voltage between the three outputs has been optimized for robotic controller applications. The isolation between the main output and output two corresponds to a functional isolation of 500VAC when the isolation between the main output, output two, and the third output is boosted to 3,000VAC.
Certified to IEC/EN62477-1 OVC III and compliant with EN61558-2-16, the RBC200F can be connected directly to the installation's distribution panel, eliminating the need for an additional isolation transformer.
The boosted isolation of output three is suitable for supplying voltages to IGBTs or IPMs, reducing the number of power supplies required to power robotic controllers and high-power modules in factory automation. By integrating a reinforced isolated outlet, the RBC200F "three in one" has a footprint equivalent to 40% smaller than conventional solutions.
The RBC200F features built-in inrush current limiting, overcurrent, overvoltage, and thermal protection.
It is certified to UL62368-1, C-UL (equivalent to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62368-1), EN62368-1, and EN62477-1 (OVC III), and complies with EN61558-2-16 (OVC III).
The RBC200F incorporates an active input filter, and its conducted noise meets FCC-B, VCCI-B, CISPR11-B, CISPR32-B, EN55011-B, and EN55032-B standards, while its harmonic current emission complies with IEC61000-3-2 (Class A).
According to IEC 62368-1, the Cosel RBC200F has a maximum leakage current of 0.40 to 0.75 mA, although for applications requiring lower levels, the G option offers a maximum leakage current of 0.15 mA.
The RBC200F measures 101 x 38.3 x 152 mm [3.98 x 1.5 x 5.98 in] or, including the terminal block, 101 x 38.3 x 164 mm [3.98 x 1.5 x 6.46 in] (W x H x D), and weighs 450 grams. An optional chassis with a cover is available upon request, as well as a vertical mounting terminal block. For harsh or corrosive environments, a conformal coating option (Option C) is available.
