24V stabilized power supplies
Siemens' Industry Automation division has added the new Sitop lite line to its power supply offerings. The Sitop PSU100L power supplies are designed for single-phase mains connection and offer all the essential features at an attractive price-performance ratio. They deliver a stabilized 24 V and are available in three power classes with nominal output currents of 2.5, 5, and 10 A. Furthermore, parallel connection of similar units is possible to increase power output.
The new product line is primarily designed for use in machines and systems whose automation components require a reliable, basic 24V power supply. Like all Sitop power supplies, the new Sitop-lite products are characterized by exceptionally high reliability and meet all requirements for universal application. For example, the wide-range input with manual switching allows connection to all industrial power networks. Thanks to the reduced housing width of 32.5 mm, as well as 50 and 70 mm, the switched-mode power supplies occupy very little space in the DIN rail. The fanless power supplies can operate at ambient temperatures from 0 to 60 °C and offer an efficiency of up to 89%. This results in low power consumption and minimal losses in the control cabinet. The operating status “DC 24 V ok” is indicated by an LED. Short-circuit and overload protection provides safety in the event of malfunctions. The Sitop-PSU100L power supplies have CE and cULus approvals (Underwriters Laboratories Certification for Canada and the USA).
