The VMS 300A series, available in 3" x 5" standard frame and metal enclosure formats, offers efficiencies up to 94% and high power densities up to 14.5 W/in³. Compliant with EN 60601-1 Edition 3.1 safety and EMC requirements 4th Edition, these single-outlet medical power supplies are designed for MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) applications in hospital and home care, as well as dental clinics.
The VMS 300A open frame and the VMS 300A CNF metal enclosure carry UL/cUL and TUV 60601-1 safety markings, meeting EN550022 Class B and FCC Class B radiated emissions limits. The series features a wide universal input voltage range of 90 to 264 Vac with output voltage options of 12, 24, 36, and 48 Vdc. All models offer 4000 Vac input-to-output isolation and 1500 Vac output-to-ground isolation. Additional features include power factor correction, remote voltage sensing, 5 V standby power consumption, and remote on/off control, as well as protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuits.
The open-frame version of the VMS 300A series measures 76.2 x 127 x 35.1 mm (3.00 x 5.00 x 1.38 inches) and provides a full-load operating temperature range of -40 to +50°C with forced-air cooling, reducing to +70°C at 60% load. The dimensions for the enclosed metal housing are slightly larger at 88 x 136 x 40.4 mm (3.46 x 5.35 x 1.59 inches), while it has a full-load operating temperature range of -40 to +60°C with forced-air cooling, and +80°C at 60% load.
