The new Rittal RiLine Compact, designed for control units requiring a maximum current of 125 A, meets this need. Despite its compact size, the busbar system distributes power effectively and reliably, in accordance with all applicable standards.
Currently, most systems designed up to 125 A use comb-type busbars or conventional wiring. However, this type of wiring is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and can result in numerous individual connections and a confusing configuration. Furthermore, the drawback of comb-type busbars is that they vary depending on the manufacturer and design type, and are neither standardized nor modular. Busbar systems are rare below 125 A, meaning that many have a highly customized configuration, making assembly and installation complex and time-consuming.

RiLine Compact consists of a busbar plate fully enclosed in protective covers that prevent accidental contact. Connections can be easily made anywhere along the length of a busbar through a series of access openings (called a pass-through pattern) in the plate. Switching and control devices can be simply plugged in using various adapters. An adapter for connecting to round conductors is also available, as well as a variety of functional modules for motor and power control.
One of the key advantages of RiLine Compact is its quick setup, assembly, and installation. The main plate and various components can be securely mounted without tools. Because the entire system is protected by the covers, users are shielded from live parts. This enhances safety for operators and the system as a whole.
