The ECE60 series is available in PCB, chassis and screw, or DIN rail mounting configurations. Possibly the smallest footprint and highest power density 60W industrial power supply, the PCB-mount version measures 91.4 x 38.1 x 28.0 mm (3.6 x 1.5 x 1.1 inches) and boasts a power density of >10 Watts per cubic inch.
The range comprises eight models with typical nominal voltage outputs from +3.3 to +48 VDC. A surge capacity allows up to 130% of the nominal power to be delivered for 30 seconds, making it suitable for applications requiring high inrush current, such as motor applications. This feature allows development engineers to avoid using a larger, more expensive power supply for occasional surges.
Also, with its very low consumption when there is no load, < 0.3 Watts and its high efficiency of up to 89%, the ECE60 series ensures that the equipment meets the “green” energy criteria.
The ECE60 batteries meet the EMC specification EN55022 for conducted and radiated Class B radiation without the need for additional filter components. They are capable of operating in environments with varying temperatures from -25°C to +70°C, with no power limitation down to 50°C.
With a Class II construction, a ground or earth connection is not required.
The ECE60 series completes the ECE family that until now had the 5, 10, 20 and 40 Watt models.
