The X-type provides a measurement resolution of 0.1 mV/0.1 mA, while the economical XE-type offers an excellent 1 mV/1 mA. A 4-wire measurement mode is also implemented to eliminate any additional errors due to voltage drop in the connecting wires. The loads support all common operating modes: CC/CV/CR and CP.

One of the most important features of this new e-load series is its high-speed response performance. In dynamic test mode, the
highest frequency of periodic switching between two user-defined levels (Level A and Level B) can reach 25 kHz.

The user can adjust the slew rate up to 2.5 A/µs. All models come standard with a 3.5-inch TFT-LCD display. The user-friendly interface allows for easy operation of the load. As part of this functionality, the operator can use the "Program" function (up to 50 groups) and the "List" function (up to 100 steps) to create complex discharge profiles that can be useful in the design of battery charging circuits.

To further enhance customer value, the SDL1000X/XE series is equipped with additional features to make testing quick and easy. For example, the loads include an LED test mode (CR-LED) specifically designed for testing LED drivers. This mode emulates real LED characteristics, such as simple continuity. Additionally, the instruments feature a voltage threshold function, a trend graph function, and implemented voltage rise/fall rate testing.
To ensure safety and reliability, the SDL1000X/XE series provides comprehensive protection features such as overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OPP), overtemperature protection (OTP), and reverse voltage protection to prevent incorrect wiring connections to the device under test.
